Francisco Gutierrez

Francisco Gutierrez is Executive Vice President and Director of Development at Kobayashi Group.  He brings more than 28 years of experience leading complex commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments across Hawai'i and major U.S. markets.  He has extensive expertise in project planning, entitlements, and the execution of large-scale developments.

Prior to joining Kobayashi Group, Francisco served as Senior Vice President of Development at Alexander & Baldwin, where he oversaw statewide development strategy, entitlements, and execution across a diversified portfolio.  Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at General Growth Properties, where he led transformative projects including the expansion of Ala Moana Center, Park Lane Ala Moana, the redevelopment of Whalers Village, and entitlements for the Ward Village master plan.

Francisco is a former president of NAIOP Hawai'i and holds advanced degrees in architecture and environmental design from the University of Houston.

In his new role, Francisco will serve as a key member of Kobayashi Group's executive leadership team, where he will help shape the company's strategic direction and provide leadership in the continued growth and execution of its expanding pipeline of residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments across Hawai'i.
