Michael Imanaka
Senior Development Manager
Michael Imanaka serves as Senior Development Manager at Kobayashi Group. With a background spanning commercial real estate development, planning, and project management across Hawai'i, Michael brings experience in retail, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
Prior to joining Kobayashi Group, Michael served as Senior Development Manager at Alexander & Baldwin, where he supported underwriting, project management, and master planning for projects across A&B's commercial real estate portfolio statewide. He previously served as Planning & Development Manager at Kamehameha Schools, contributing to Kaiāulu'o Kaka'ako Master Plan and related initiatives. His earlier experience includes roles with Avalon Group, Nordic PCL Construction, and Northgate Commercial.
A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and licensed Real Estate Broker, Michael is the 2026 president of the CCIM Hawai'i Chapter and is a member of the Hawai'i Interagency Council for Transit-Oriented Development. He also serves on the boards of the Stadium Authority and Family Promise of Hawai'i.
